The High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP) manages DoD supercomputing assets for DoD. HPCMP relies on on-premise infrastructure which limits flexible scaling of resources as demand changes, and delays access to the latest advances in computing technology.
The Solution
Parallel Works provides a unified platform for both DoD Partner’s on-premises centers and cloud-based High Performance Computing (HPC) resources. This platform enables user submission, monitoring of HPC resources (on-premises and cloud-based) as well as the assignment and tracking of workloads. The Parallel Works management tool enables management automation and analysis. Additionally, the solution allows for integrating all applicable resource centers, as well as multiple cloud service providers (CSPs), into a robust network offering a wide range of HPC capabilities to the DoD in a single coherent ecosystem.
