The Problem This Solution Solves
The Department of Defense (DoD) sought commercial software tools that addressed the need for innovations in space domain data visualization, data processing, modeling, and are inherently extensible and user-friendly. The goal of GSIP is to put awareness and alert capabilities in DoD/USG operator hands rather than having to rely solely on vendor owner/operators for analysis, so they can fill gaps or provide rapid-response products when commercial analysts are either saturated or offline.
Priority was given to solutions that provide an open architecture to allow third-party tools to onboard and/or integrate with other tools.
The Solution
ExoAnalytic Solutions (ExoAnalytic) operates a world-wide network of electro-optical telescopes looking at primarily geosynchronous Earth-orbit (GEO) (They can look elsewhere but not primary objective). They have developed a suite of tools to operate this network. ExoAnalytic's tools include, but are not limited to: command and control (C2); data fusion (commercial, government, open sources); training, modeling, and simulation; and multi-domain ops analysis. They also developed a platform called Nebula, on which third-party providers could onboard their capabilities or integrate with ExoAnalytic's or other tools.
