The DoD has an ongoing need to collect global maritime intelligence. Current maritime intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) technology is costly and requires manned crews and large quantities of fossil fuels to operate.

The Solution

Saildrone is a high endurance, autonomous, wind-powered drone that provides real time and operationally relevant information. It enables the reliable monitoring of maritime transit zones. As a multi-mission platform, it can conduct maritime domain awareness missions and provide oceanographic information. It can conduct passage making, station keeping, inshore surveys, thermal tracking, and salinity boundaries.
