To ensure future combat readiness, the Department of War (DoW) must be able to disseminate classified data across distant, austere, and geographically diverse areas. Additionally, data needs to be synchronized across remote hardware nodes and a government cloud environment with minimal latency, and the ability to operate in degraded backhaul conditions. Established DoW capabilities can be improved through the rapid integration of commercial technologies that enable a transport agnostic, next generation battlespace visualization network.
The Solution
Frontier Nodes are ruggedized, portable edge servers capable of enduring austere, forward deployed environments with limited infrastructure. These nodes enhance decision support systems and fires targeting by enabling real-time communication of classified data through encrypted networks, extending the visibility of commanders. The ability to disseminate classified data to the Echelon 4 levels, and back, ensures effective decision making for commanders by providing accurate operational sight pictures in near real-time.
