On June 25, 2020, the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) hosted a webinar providing an overview of how we deliver leading commercial technology solutions to our Department of Defense (DoD) partners. Col Mike McGinley, our Director of Defense Engagement and lead of our Boston office, led a discussion of how DIU curates tough DoD challenges, solicits and identifies the best potential commercial solutions, leverages flexible processes and acquisition authority to rapidly award prototype agreements, and scales successful efforts.
It has never been easier to work with the DoD, but the challenge is in transitioning across the valley of death to major programs that provide recurring revenue. This is our specialty, and our fast and flexible contracting process provides a clear path to large-volume defense contracts.
