As the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to disrupt our lives here in the United States and around the world, the Defense Innovation Unit would like to offer reassurance to our many partners as we all adjust to new circumstances.
DIU continues to operate “business as usual” with some minor exceptions. We are maintaining safety precautions by maximizing the use of teleconferencing, voice, and email communications to support ongoing projects and new business opportunities. Additionally, we are minimizing office visits and non-essential travel until further notice to help contribute to the containment of COVID-19. DIU continues to actively open new solicitations and execute new agreements in support of our mission to accelerate commercial technology for national security. At this time, our ability to process milestone payments or other required contracting actions is unaffected.

*UPDATE as of 6 Apr 2020: Per DoD public guidance released 5 April 2020, all individuals visiting DIU offices should wear cloth face coverings when they cannot maintain six feet of social distance in public areas or work centers, to the extent practical.
