Skydio, Inc. —
Blue sUAS 1.0

The Problem This Solution Solves

The DoD is not positioned, organized, or resourced to keep pace with the speed or scale of commercial small unmanned aerial system (sUAS) development. Without access to secure, trusted, and reliable sUAS, operators are losing out on an on-demand, tactical resource for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions. Despite the growing demand for sUAS, DoD often relies on either less capable, more expensive government-developed systems or on cyber vulnerable commercial sUAS.

The Solution

Highly capable, FY20 NDAA Section 848-compliant, secure multirotor sUAS for the U.S. Government. Any Federal agency is now able to purchase these systems on the General Services Administration (GSA) schedule. Solutions are configured to work with a single ground control station user interface called QGroundControl (QGC). The Skydio X2D is 2.7lbs with 35 minute flight time. It is priced at $16K/unit and was selected by Army PEO for the Short Range Reconnaissance program.
